We are pleased to once again be exhibiting at E-world! A lot has happened in the last 12 months, both from an energy market perspective and how we better support the growth of our clients. Our stand, together with our London colleagues – in Hall 2, Stand 211 – has some exciting changes. Come visit our stand to discuss the latest trends in our fast evolving markets and how they will impact you.

- Insight into how you can optimise your algorithmic testing, design and execution
A copy of our new magazine, On the Spot, will also be available at the stand and discusses these topics in more detail.
These are exciting times, and we look forward to meeting you at E-world. We expect our stand to be very well attended in 2020. Integration: the development perspective
When a company is acquired, integrating two organisations and two cultures can be a challenge. But it can also deliver huge benefits. In an ongoing series on our integration into Trayport, this time Christian Burger, Head of Development at Trayport VisoTech, provided insight into how the process has worked for his team.
The most obvious impact is the integration of the autoTRADER into Trayport’s Joule Direct platform. Just a few short months after the acquisition, the first release of the integrated product was unveiled, and developers in Vienna and London are working together to add further functionality.
However, the most exciting impacts have happened behind the scenes. An agile coach from London has been visiting the Vienna office regularly to help the teams there optimise their processes, and a dedicated agile coach will soon start in Vienna. While VisoTech implemented agile methods years ago, expert advice is helping them to take their projects to the next level. But an agile coach doesn’t come in and tell people how they should work. Agile is all about self-organising teams. The coach has presented a variety of agile methods, and the teams are then empowered to pick and choose from a variety of tools to create a process that works for them.
The Vienna team also benefits from Trayport’s more mature testing organisation, and will be looking for dedicated software testers. Moreover, they look forward to having more time for long-term projects.
“We’re happy with the opportunities for process and infrastructure improvement and for growth”, Christian explained. “But we’re especially happy with the development team in London. On the one hand they are a diverse team and give us many fresh new perspectives. On the other, they share our values. In the end, we all want the same thing: to deliver great software in a great team.”
